Faye Holland, disruptHR lead blogger interviews CEO/Co-Founder, Dennis Green-Lieber to find out how Duuoo keeps traction and accountability about your team to ensure you have the most productive, engaged, and motivated team.

FAYE: Hi Dennis, why don’t you give me the quick elevator pitch on Duuoo?

DENNIS: Duuoo’s platform helps managers plan and execute 1-on-1s, provides intelligent talking points and manager insights. Duuoo keeps traction and accountability about your team to ensure you have the most productive, engaged, and motivated team.

FAYE: Why did you decide to take part in disruptHR this year and what would you like to achieve as a result of your participation?

DENNIS: We are still early in the market as we just launched in August 2016 and participating in disruptHR is really an acid test for our product in the market as we take a different approach to the problems that companies are facing today.
We’re really looking forward to meeting companies, experts in the field, analyst, and even investors and receive feedback on our product.

FAYE: A few years ago the HR Tech market place was awash with recruitment solutions. In the last 18 months this has been surpassed by Employee Engagement solutions. What makes your solution different to others in the market place?

DENNIS: I love seeing all that investment in products, services and tools that aim to solve the problems of Employee Engagement within companies today as the overall employee experience should be the no. 1 focus after you invest a lot of money to recruit the employee in the first place.

Duuoo takes an upside down approach to the problems, as we see a direct link between employees not being productive, motivated and overall happy at their job and the relationship with their manager.

We believe that managers need a more actionable and simple tool to engage with their team, which is what Duuoo provide via our one-one-one platform where we help with the entire process from planning meetings, deciding on talking points to documenting insights/learnings and outcomes of the meetings via our agreements tool.

Duuoo will help managers invest time in connecting with their team which boosts trust and leads to productive, motivated and overall happy teams. Improving the relationship between the manager and the team will have a direct impact on the bottom line and the best part is, that you can start today – no matter if it’s a small team or large company.

FAYE: What’s your idea of innovation?

DENNIS: Great question – I’m sure 9 out of 10 would be referring to Uber or Airbnb on this question. There is some universal truth in that always being the reference though, as they have understood the problems the customers have, what tasks the products need to complete and the behaviour that new generations have.

To translate that into HR we need a group of vendors looking at what everyone in the company needs vs. what management needs to be successful on every level.

So my version of innovation is to understand what problems everyone in the companies’ faces, and how they would like their pain points to be solved and build something simple and smart in a sense that it should have a human augmentation element. Which are the core principles that Duuoo has been built on.

FAYE: What are your plans for expansion?

DENNIS: We are a small team of 7 employees which we are expanding at the moment, as we just closed a funding round. In addition, our primary focus is to grow with the 400 companies we already have onboard. Our secondary focus is to grow within our target market which is US/UK and where we already see 70% of our client base.
