With burnout reportedly on the rise during the pandemic, HR leaders are seeking cutting-edge self-care solutions to help employees find a better work-life balance.

In response, tech company Fabulous is unveiling its workplace solution, Fabulous for Work, to help employers create environments that promote wellness.

Created in Duke University’s Behavioral Economics Lab, Fabulous says the new product “helps users build healthy rituals” with customizable programs.

These include anxiety reduction, screen breaks and exercise during the day, and healthy eating.

The company says the technology harnesses methods employed by elite athletes and successful entrepreneurs.

How HR helps set wellness goals

According to the tech company, Fabulous for Work enables organizations to take a more proactive approach to helping employees by offering customizable programs built with HR input, so they are based on a firm’s needs as well as employee goals.

“Every user is set a personalized journey and supported with coaching sessions, creative reminders, thematic challenges, and member interaction.”

A dashboard allows HR to see unique, anonymous data and insights to shape the program. The dashboard includes daily active users, top habits and goals, completion rates, and a help function.

The platform’s algorithm will suggest routines or challenges which, when completed, produce a score so HR teams know where employees require more help.

Speaking exclusively to UNLEASH, Clément Halloo, head of marketing at Fabulous – which says it has more than 24 million users worldwide – said: “Built by behavioral scientists, the app delivers the most effective behavioral change experience tackling a plethora of psychological traits.

“Through our behavior, barrier, solution, and test (BBST) methodology, the app helps shape tiny habits into profound long-term transformation on a personal and professional level.”

“Every user is set on a personalized journey and supported along the way: with bite-sized coaching sessions, creative reminders, thematic challenges and interaction with other members.

“Fabulous is ultimately creating a generation of changemakers inspired to build a better world, communities and businesses by starting from within.”

Fabulous states that people in the US spend 30% of their life at work, with an average working week of 40 hours.

Research by recruitment site Monster has found that 95% of US employees are considering quitting their jobs – the main reason (33%) was burnout.
