The market discussion has moved from a curiosity of the impact AI would have in HR and business at large to a necessity. No longer is it “will we automate?” it’s now “What will we automate and when?”

Yes, attitudes about AI are changing. Yahoo reports on a study of 430 UK companies reveals how COVID-19 has changed business leaders’ attitude towards artificial intelligence. Automation and AI are looking like “smart investments” in the face of a global economic crisis.

Swiss Cognitive reported that “AI technology is one of the most dominant themes among recruiters. AI-based technologies can analyze, predict, and diagnose better to help HR teams make better decisions.” But, AI is also impacting the entire employee experience.

Not everyone is on board the AI bus. Forbes reported that a “Stanford Professor Says AI Hiring Tools Are Flawed.” There is an ongoing and healthy debate about AI’s ability to truly mitigate bias in the hiring process and to deal with nuances of the humans at the center of work.
